Book on the day Appointments
There will be a few appointments available each day, which are released throughout the day by the reception staff. These are not available to be booked before the day. So if you ring from 8am or come to the surgery in person before 8am, you will have to wait for these appointments to be released. This does not guarantee you will receive an appointment for that day.
Update from Welling Medical Practice
As of Thursday 20th January 2022, you will now be able to book a telephone appointment via the online patient service application directly to the surgery with a GP. Please see your online app for dates and times.
There is no longer a requirement to complete an E-Consult unless it is for administrative queries.
Alternatively, please contact the surgery via the telephone.
Using eConsult at the weekends
If you require support over the weekend (including bank holidays) you can still use the eConsult service for self-help and pharmacy advice regarding your condition.

As always for immediate emergencies, call 999.
Patients to be careful of receiving text messages asking for personal information to be sent, as this is a scam. Please do not respond to these text messages sharing your personal details. Cervical screen reminders and appointment reminders do not request your personal information, so these would be correct.
Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, how you contact us will be different at the moment. This is to limit face to face contact whenever possible and help stop the spread of coronavirus. We are open and face to face appointments are available to all patients but you will need to please complete an Econsult, following the link here on the Website, should you wish to see a GP. Alternatively contact the surgery directly who will be happy to assist you in completing an Econsult.
Patients will be contacted by a Clinician who will then triage you either by video consult or over the phone and if you need to be seen a face to face appointment will be arranged. For Nurses appointments please book via reception ringing the normal number.
When arriving at the surgery please make sure you are wearing a face covering and remain social distanced in the reception area. A temperature check will be offered to you, should you be waiting to see a Clinician.
Our staff are always happy to help you through these changes. If you have a cough, high temperature or loss of taste and smell please contact NHS 111 or 119 for further advice. In an Emergency please call 999.
Due to the current outbreak of COVID-19 we ask that you kindly register electronically with your local pharmacy, this will reduce the risk for patients and staff.

Whilst coronavirus is infectious to children it is rarely serious. If your child is unwell it is likely to be a non-coronavirus illness, rather than coronavirus itself.

If you are anyone in your household has a high temperature or a new and continuous cough - even if it's mild
- Everyone in your household must stay at home for 14 days and keep away from others
- Go to NHS.UK to check your symptoms and follow the specialist medical advice. Only call NHS 111 if you can't get online or your symptoms worsen.
- Protect older people and those with existing health conditions by avoiding contact.
