Following the recent outbreak in Kent
Who Can Get the MenB Vaccine?
- Babies at 8 weeks, 16 weeks and 1 year.
- People with certain high risk medical conditions.
- Close contacts of confirmed cases if UKHSA advises.
Extra Vaccination for Students in Kent:
- Students living in Canterbury Campus Halls (University of Kent).
Who Is Not Routinely Eligible?
- Older children, teenagers and adults unless high risk or UKHSA identified.
Who Should Get Antibiotics?
- Anyone who attended Club Chemistry on 5th 6th 7th March.
- Close contacts of confirmed or suspected cases.
Symptoms – Seek Help Fast:
- Fever, headache, vomiting, muscle pain.
- Pale/blotchy skin, rash, stiff neck, light sensitivity, seizures
